About FLOAT
Cost is not the objective. Business value is.
FLOAT exists because most FinOps is reactive, most cost tooling stops at reporting, and most AI initiatives launch with zero cost modeling. We think that's backwards.
Why we exist
Cloud spend keeps growing. Industry estimates put average waste above 30%. Most organizations track that waste after it happens — a part-time cloud admin in a spreadsheet, a dashboard that generates reports nobody actions, no one accountable for governance until there's a budget overrun.
FLOAT moves cost intelligence closer to the decisions that actually create it: architecture and governance. We built FLOAT on Microsoft's FinOps and Well-Architected frameworks, and operationalized both in a modern, automation-driven model — because a framework only matters if someone runs it continuously.
Our operating principles
Where we're headed
FLOAT is evolving toward autonomous FinOps oversight — a mission-control agent coordinating continuous cost analysis, governance tracking, and AI workload monitoring across your entire Microsoft Azure footprint. The goal: financial governance that runs itself, so your team can focus on the decisions that actually move the business.
